Pianist
Aldrich has spent a lifetime doing what she loves most — making music. She has released four albums with orchestrated and live music from her broad repertoire. She began piano lessons at the tender age of six, continuing through high school and majoring in music at Capital University in Columbus, Ohio. Aldrich was greatly influenced by the famous pianist Liberace, adopting his energetic style using the entire keyboard for lush runs and dramatic key changes. While her personal style is classical, her repertoire draws heavily upon the standards of composers such as Cole Porter, George Gershwin and Henry Mancini. Aldrich was the house performer for many years at the famous Columbus restaurant (now closed) “Engine House No. 5.” She now plays full-time for the Columbus BalletMet.
